Mrs. Kayla

Bright Stars and After School Director

As the Director of both the OSEGA After school and Bright Stars programs, and 4 years teaching in a Bright Stars classroom, I am dedicated to fostering the growth of young minds in all areas of their development. My goal is to ensure every child receives proper learning, independency, and social skills.

I enjoy reading and music, and I am a proud mom of three beautiful girls.

Pre-K Lead Teacher

As a mom of two, I am passionate about enriching the lives and education of pre school aged children, while creating a positive and engaging environment where children feel safe, curious, and confident. My goal is to help students build a strong foundation in early kindergarten skills such as literacy, numbers, and problem-solving. In the classroom, I prioritize a supportive atmosphere that encourages self-expression and a genuine love for learning.

I have two little girls who you will see around the gym, that keep me just as busy as the Bright Stars do! I spend my time away from OSEGA outdoors, working out, and wrangling my girls!

Tiny Tots lead teacher

I am so grateful for the opportunity to be apart of the early development stages in each child’s pre-school journey here at Bright Stars. Following my passion to work with children of all ages, I am also a teacher for the elementary after school program, spending my morning with the “littles”, and my afternoons with the “bigs” 🙂

Having two of my own, has taught me patience and understanding that every child learns and develops at their own pace. My goal is to allow students to navigate through their own feelings and growth, with my guidance of positive instruction.

Assistant teacher and afternoon care provider

I enjoy spending my afternoons with the after care kids as they burn off their built up energy from preschool 😉 Being apart of these children’s lives is more than just a job. It requires building a trusted connection with each child, and adapting to their individual needs.

I have two children of my own, and am grateful they can be apart of this program to connect with others in such a positive and fun environment.

Mrs. Amari

Bright Stars teacher and summer Camp Director

I have gratefully been with OSEGA for 8 years, and apart of Bright Stars Pre-K for 5 years. I have a deep passion for children and love watching them grow into their own unique personalities.

I have a bachelors degree in child psychology while continuing my education at UNC Asheville. In my free time, I enjoy family, traveling, singing, and coffee 🙂
